St Philomena’s is a small and nurturing school with high academic standards, conveniently located in the heart of Frinton-on-Sea.
We aim to provide a first-class education within a supportive, friendly and happy environment. We challenge and encourage our pupils to develop their talents in an atmosphere of trust and tolerance, whatever their ability. As a Catholic School, our ethos is Christian, but children of all religions are welcomed.
This is an exciting time to be growing up, but it is also challenging. Academic achievement alone will not guarantee future success – or happiness – and I firmly believe that in education we should seek to develop the whole pupil, not just the part. As well as helping pupils realise their academic potential, we cultivate creativity, flexibility, lateral thinking and enterprise; we foster intuition and resilience; empathy and courage. At St Philomena’s we seek to prepare our pupils not just for the next stage of their academic careers but for life.
I am delighted to lead a school that offers children such an outstanding experience. The best way to gain a true insight into the unique atmosphere of our school is to see the children at work and play, so please do come and visit us, and I will show you what makes this School so very special.
